Changes in Spanish personal income tax (IRPF) for 2012-2013

The tax increase decided by the government late 2011 has obliged the institution to react fast, as the increase has to be applied already this month.
Spanish freelancers can finally claim unemployment
As of November 2010, freelancers (autónomos) in Spain may apply for unemployment benefits that may last up to a maximum of 12 months, which will equate them a bit more with other employed workers. Freelancers can voluntarily choose to pay an additional percentage on their Social Security contribution, which then qualifies them for unemployment benefits.
